It's Been Forever!!! How Have You Been?!

I'm sorry I've been a lost blogger for a couple weeks! It seems like it's been forever, but I've been caught up in a swirl of things to do and it seemed almost never-ending! We are all busy! But I'm back, and that's all that matters...

Let's do a little recap of what's going on, what you may have missed, and what's to come...

Hurricane Irene teased us Floridians a bit. My whole patio was relocated to my kitchen, but seriously, these forecasts are way off. Irene proved to us just how scared and unprepared Northerners actually are. I'm sorry if you still have no power up there, and there's an overturned fern in your front yard,  but we've dealt with way worse.

Nevin Shapiro's allegations against UM have proved nothing but an even tighter and unified Miami team and fanbase as we are all looking forward to the season opener against Maryland, September 5th. Love me some college football!!!

Michael Jackson would have been 53 yesterday. Happy Birthday to the King of Everything.

AT&T raised it's phone insurance from $4.99 to $6.99. Yes, I got the letter in the mail too. I swear, where are the good ol' Cingular days? Raising prices, not bars. So tempted to switch to Metro....

Kim K. got hitched for her reality show. Wait, what? It was a real wedding? Oh..

Our good old Miami native Jeremy Shockey recently saved a teammate who apparently 'bit off more than he could chew' by using an impromptu Heimlich/excessive force to the back-Maneuver. His Panthers teammate was choking on a piece of meat and couldn't breathe. I always knew I liked Jeremy.

Steve Jobs stepped down from his position as CEO of Apple. Hate all you want about his OCD personality, monotonous demeanor, and fashion sense, but he leaves behind an irreplaceable and non-emulateable legacy that will impact our futures forever. He's an iCON.

Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann is currently campaigning here in Miami. I don't like getting political here on my blog so I won't, but have you seen her extremely scary looking Newsweek cover?! Wow.

The weather forecast is not looking up to par. Rain, rain and more rain. Seems like it's been raining everyday since March. Stay dry and watch out for those idiots on the road aka everybody.
